Abby Boyd

Assistant Professor of Chemistry

Abby Boyd

I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. I am happy to discuss research opportunities with potential undergraduates, graduate students, and/or postdoctoral scholars.

Research Interests

My research is mainly rooted in chemistry education and environmental chemistry. Many of my past projects have surrounded student recruitment and retention in science disciplines and improving the accessibility of science for all students. Specifically in areas involving engaged learning experiences such as undergraduate research and incorporating new technologies into chemical education. Additionally, my previous environmental chemistry research has mainly focused on trace metal and microplastic analysis of environmental samples.
