Elizabeth Baxter received her PhD in Classical Studies at Boston University in 2019. Her interests focus on ancient Greek literature, especially the Greek lyric poets.

Research Interests

Her research interests include: ancient literary criticism and poetics, the poetry of Sappho and Pindar, and the Latin poets of the Augustan age (especially Horace and Ovid).

Biography

In the Department of Classics, she has taught courses on ancient Greek civilization and reading Latin; she also teaches a freshman writing seminar on Greek poetry in the Department of Writing and Rhetoric.
