Tong Meng
Instructor and Director of Programs in the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Tong Meng is an Instructor of Management and Director of Programs at the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship (CIE).
Biography
In her role, Meng oversees the quality and success of the CIE’s operations and is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing programs and competitions. She also advises the Entrepreneurship Club, a student-led effort to promote entrepreneurship on campus. She teaches ENT 101: Social Entrepreneurship and ENT 351: Design Thinking for Innovation.
Meng started her career in higher education as a college TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) instructor in China. Since then, she has enjoyed many wonderful professional opportunities leading and strategically collaborating with a diverse population of students, faculty, staff, and alumni at various institutions. Before joining the CIE, she worked for Duke University and its campus in China for four years as Manager of Undergraduate Programs. She holds an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
