Roy Frostenson teaches Media Sales and Media Management courses in the School of Journalism. At the Student Media Center, he serves as advisor to Rebel Radio, co-advisor for NewsWatch and supervisor for the SMC student advertising sales staff.
Biography
Roy Frostenson has more than 30 years experience as a professional journalist working in broadcasting as a reporter, news director and general manager at network-affiliated TV stations in Monroe, Louisiana, and Eureka, California.
He was executive producer for an investigative series that won an Alfred I. DuPont-Columbia University award for excellence. He Served as president of the Louisiana AP Broadcasters Association. Frostenson has a bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Arizona State University, a master’s degree in journalism from West Virginia University, and was an adjunct instructor in journalism at the University of Louisiana at Monroe.
