Online M.Ed. in Elementary Education
The online M.Ed. in Elementary Education is conducted entirely online, offering students tons of flexibility. Students still have access to professors and academic resources online.
- Students attending classes online enjoy asynchronous classroom experiences. In other words, online students can attend classes entirely on their own schedule.
Residential M.Ed. in Elementary Education
The residential M.Ed. in Elementary Education is conducted in physical classrooms where students attend in person, allowing for face-to-face interaction with professors and peers. These classes offer a structured environment with immediate access to resources such as libraries and campus life.
- Students attending classes on campus enjoy, face to face teaching that can encourage individual growth and the hands-on application of research-based techniques and emerging theory in the classroom.

M.Ed. in Elementary Education candidates master engaging instructional strategies, effective classroom management techniques, and curriculum development tailored for young minds brimming with curiosity.
The M.Ed. in Elementary Education requires the following courses for a total of 30 credit hours.
To complete the Master of Education in Elementary Education, students must complete:

Other Academic Requirements
M.Ed. in Elementary Education candidates must successfully complete EDCI 630 and have a minimum of 45 hours of advisor-approved field experiences.
Students applying to the M.Ed. in Elementary Education must meet the following requirements. Students must have:
- An undergraduate degree with a 3.0 GPA on the last 60 hours of their coursework.
- A teaching license OR the results from a national standardized achievement/aptitude test predictive of the ability to complete a graduate program successfully.
- These may include but aren't limited to: a passing score on the Praxis II Content Field or on the Praxis II PLT, or a competitive GRE score (all sections), or a valid teaching license.
To properly complete the application process for admission, students must submit all application materials before the following priority deadlines:
- April 1st (summer admission)
- May 1st (fall admission)
- November 1st (spring admission)
