M.S. in Industrial Pharmacy
Prepare for a career in the pharmaceutical industry with this non-thesis track degree in pharmaceutical sciences, with an emphasis in industrial pharmacy.
About this Emphasis
The M.S. in Pharmaceutical Sciences with an emphasis in Industrial Pharmacy is a unique, non-thesis program designed for B.S. graduates in chemical engineering, pharmacy, biology, or chemistry who are looking to launch a career in the pharmaceutical industry. This program offers both fundamental and applied knowledge in industrial pharmacy, equipping you with the skills to thrive in this fast-paced field.
In the first year, all students follow a core curriculum that lays a strong foundation in the key principles of industrial pharmacy. In the second year, you’ll choose between two specialized tracks:
- Regulatory Sciences: This track prepares you for careers in regulatory affairs or quality assurance, giving you the expertise to navigate the complex regulatory landscape of the pharmaceutical industry.
- Product Development and Manufacturing: This track focuses on formulation development, process development, manufacturing, or quality control, providing the hands-on skills necessary to innovate in drug production and ensure quality standards are met.
Additionally, all students will take part in a Special Projects course, where you’ll tackle real-world projects with tight deadlines—just like in the industry. This experience prepares you to hit the ground running in your career, whether you’re pursuing regulatory roles or developing the next breakthrough pharmaceutical products.
If you're ready to make your mark in the pharmaceutical industry, this program offers the perfect pathway.
