Nicholas MacDonald

Dr. Nicholas MacDonald is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Physics at the University of Mississippi.

Research Interests

Dr. MacDonald's research focuses on the study of extragalactic jets. He has been involved in theoretical, observational, and numerical studies of the physics of jet propagation and emission from kilo-parsec to sub-parsec scales.

Biography

Dr. Nicholas MacDonald was a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Radio Astronomy (MPIfR) in Bonn, Germany (2017-2021) then Staff Scientist at the MPIfR (2021-23). He joined the faculty at UM in 2023.
