Research Interests
Dr. Yang’s expertise is centered on health economics and outcomes research. Specifically, Dr. Yang’s research interests include comparative safety and effectiveness research, pharmacoepidemiology, and healthcare resource utilization and cost analysis.
Biography
Dr. Yang is trained in medicine as well as in health outcomes research specializing in pharmacoepidemiology and comparative safety and effectiveness research in real-world evidence studies using health insurance administrative claims data, patient surveys, and patient registries. Dr. Yang is the PI on NIH-funded projects evaluating the outcomes of opioid therapy and opioid tapering in older adults.
