Environmental Toxicology
You will participate in research and educational activities seeking to identify and resolve environmental and human health issues.
Industrial Pharmacy
A non-thesis track program that will prepare you for a career in the pharmaceutical industry.
Medicinal Chemistry
An interdisciplinary field of chemistry, biology, and pharmaceutical sciences. You will be involved in the development of new therapeutics for diseases.
Pharmaceutics and Drug Delivery
You will take part in research to identify, understand, and resolve problems in drug delivery through dosage form design.
Pharmacognosy
You will research the chemistry and pharmacology of bioactive natural products and their application in disease treatments.
Pharmacology
Conduct research on how chemical agents, including potential therapeutic candidates, act on biological systems

BioMolecular Sciences Student Advocates (BSA)

Glycoscience Student Advocates (GSA)
Glycoscience Student Advocates (GSA) is comprised of graduate and undergraduate students interested in or conducting glycoscience-related research at The University of Mississippi. The School of Pharmacy is globally recognized for its multidisciplinary research in discovering, developing, and translating innovative solutions to healthcare problems. Key strategic impact areas for the School of Pharmacy include cancer, cardiometabolic disorders, neuroscience and drugs of abuse, infectious diseases, and medication optimization.
As a graduate student, you will be deeply immersed in research with our faculty. The school’s faculty and scientists maintain active, funded research programs in a variety of biomedical, social administrative, and clinical sciences. Each competes for funding from a variety of sources, including the National Institutes of Health, other federal agencies, foundations, and the pharmaceutical industry.

“Hello, everyone! My name is Achref Cherif, a Fulbright scholar and master’s student in Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Mississippi. Ole Miss’s exceptional School of Pharmacy has been my home for the past year and has offered me many opportunities. The faculty is full of diverse professionals who constantly support my academic goals. Through this program, I am taking enriching courses and gaining hands-on experience in the pharmaceutics and drug delivery lab. I also have the privilege of presenting my research this year at the AAPS conference, PHARMSCI 360. The master’s program in Pharmaceutical Sciences has equipped me with practical skills and knowledge that make me confident in my ability to proceed and succeed in a career in the field.”
