About the Mississippi UAS Symposium 2027
Uncrewed aircraft systems are rapidly becoming an important part of public safety, emergency response, critical infrastructure and national security operations. As their use expands, so too does the need to safely integrate authorized UAS operations while identifying and responding to unauthorized or potentially dangerous activity.
The Mississippi UAS Symposium 2027 will bring together experts in law, policy, technology, public safety and national security to examine how we build an airspace that supports the expanding benefits of UAS while protecting the people, infrastructure and operations that depend upon it.
The one-day symposium will explore public-safety UAS operations, airspace integration, detection and identification, counter-UAS capabilities, legal authorities and privacy, including the changing legal landscape under the SAFER SKIES Act and the policies needed to support safe and effective UAS operations at scale.

12:30–1:30 pm – Lunch
1:30–4:30 pm – Panels
4:30-4:45 pm – Closing.
Registration is $75 per attendee and $25 per student, with complimentary registration for sponsors and panelists. Attendance is free for Ole Miss faculty, students and staff.
