Accomplished Attorney and Community Advocate with Over Two Decades of Legal Excellence
Mr. John Jacobson, a native of Germantown, Tennessee, graduated from the University of Mississippi in 1987 with a BA degree in Philosophy and English. He received his JD with high honors in 1990 from the University of Tennessee, where he was a member of the Order of Coif, served as Student Materials Editor of the Tennessee Law Review, and was a John W. Green scholar. Mr. Jacobson is admitted to the Tennessee bar and to practice in numerous federal courts. As a founding member of the law firm Riley Warnock & Jacobson, PLC, he served as the managing partner for the firm for more than 20 years.
Mr. Jacobson regularly represents clients in the financial services, healthcare and entertainment industries. He has extensive jury and non-jury trial experience in corporate and business litigation. He has tried numerous cases in federal and state courts and has experience in most arbitration forums, including FINRA, AAA, Chicago Board of Trade, and the Chicago Futures Exchange. He is a member of the Tennessee Chapter of the American Board of Trial Advocates.
Mr. Jacobson is a fellow of Litigation Counsel of American and a member of the American Board of Trial Advocates. He has been a volunteer with the Legal Aid Society of Middle Tennessee, is an alum of Leadership Music, a non-profit 501(c)3 educational organization in Nashville, and supporter of Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee.
John and his wife, Dee (Denson), have three children—Sara Jordan, Jake, and Sophie.
