What were some of your favorite memories at UM?

Aside from the many relationships I have made, my favorite memories include the routine morning
breakfast at the Sigma Chi house before the daily walk to Shoemaker Hall, attending Campus
Crusades (now Cru) on Tuesday nights, and being elected as Colonel Reb (now Mr. Ole Miss). I
would love to say football games were my favorite memories at Ole Miss, but we went 2-10 my senior
year.

What do you think is the value of your liberal arts degree for your career and life?

Thanks to my education in the College of Liberal Arts, I was able to obtain a major in biology and
minors in both chemistry and psychology. While these science-focused courses prepared me well for
medical school, other diverse courses such as Spanish, religion, anthropology, history, and
psychology (my minor) made me more well-rounded, which helps me relate to people from all walks
of life.

How did you find the path to your major as an undergraduate?

I wanted to be a physician since I was very young, and so the pathway of a biology major felt like a
natural choice to help prepare me for medical school.
