    Nicolas DiConsiglio is a 2022 graduate of the University of Mississippi and a commissionee of the Naval ROTC Program at the University. He is currently a Surface Warfare Officer in the United States Navy. His first Division Officer tour was aboard USS New Orleans (LPD-18).

Why did you choose the Navy?

 I joined the Navy as a Surface Warfare Officer for two reasons:

  • The privilege to lead sailors, an honor that I take great pride in each and every day.
  • The opportunity to see the world, which during my first tour I had the pleasure of living in Japan for 30 months, and deploying to Australia and Korea for extended periods of time.
