  • About

I am a Mississippi native; I have spent the last couple of years working as a Montessori Primary Guide at the local Montessori School. I plan on continuing my education post graduate to become a licensed Play Therapist and continue to work with children.

Meet Aala’a

What inspired you to pursue a degree at the School of Education?

I have always been interested in working within the Mental Health field. I plan on pursuing my Professional Counselor Licensure after I graduate.

Tell us about your community involvements and/or hobbies:

I will continue to be connected to Magnolia Montessori School, whether that is volunteering to help them with events or doing activities with the students at the school. I love going on hikes, cooking, and plying video games with my husband.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

I wish to apply for my Provisional Professional Counselor License, and I plan to continue my education here at the University of Mississippi to become a registered Play Therapist while also working towards full licensure.
