What does this scholarship award mean to you?
I am appreciative of the Pamela P. and Jerome W. Smith Excellence in Educational Leadership. The scholarship affords me the opportunity to earn a doctoral degree at the University of Mississippi. Additionally, this scholarship allows me to be a scholastic role model for my daughters and the students I serve.
Tell us about a favorite memory, professor, and/or academic course during your time at the School of Education:
Dr. Dennis Bunch and Dr. Tanya Bartee are two of my favorite professors. I learned a wealth of knowledge about instructional leadership and cultural responsiveness.
Tell us about your community involvements and/or hobbies:
I am member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority. Service is one of our principles. I engage in community service projects and work with youth auxiliaries to develop them holistically.
