What does this scholarship award mean to you?
It means the word honestly. Growing up, I didn’t know what I wanted to do, but I always loved helping kids especially in English. This scholarship just helps me closer to being able to help more kids.
Why did you choose to attend the University of Mississippi?
It’s just a school I have always dreamt about going to and loved everything about.
Tell us about a favorite memory, professor, and/or academic course during your time at the School of Education:
Being a transfer and my first year here I see an opportunity to gain so many of these. So far it would be not getting lost on my first day.
What inspired you to pursue a degree at the School of Education?
The wanting to help children really understand and love English.
What do you plan to do after graduation?
Teach and hopefully broaden in the area.
