  • Quick Intro

From outside Washington, D.C., in Gaithersburg, Maryland, I am currently a Business Management Major in the School of Business. On campus, though, I stay deeply involved as a senator for ASB representing the Interfraternity Council, while also being the Vice President of the Business Club and a School of Business Ambassador. For me, I always knew I wanted a college experience that felt like a second home, and Oxford is that and then some. I love connecting with people, whether it's about Rebel football or just the past weekend. I enjoy soaking up everything Oxford and this University has to offer.

Class of 2028 Student Journey Ambassador

Student Journey Ambassadors share the honest story of life at Ole Miss, from the exciting moments to the challenges that come with college life. Through their experiences, they highlight the people, memories, and moments that make the Ole Miss journey unique.

What's it like to be a junior at Ole Miss?

Being a Junior at Ole Miss, for me personally, is when that college experience truly locks into gear, and everything starts coming together. As you're fully immersed in not only your upper-level courses for your major, but also tackling actual real-world problems and putting yourself out there in leadership positions across campus organizations that do incredible work. It is a very pivotal year for building that professional foundation, from landing those key internships that set you up for your career to simple networking with alumni and professors. While outside the classroom, you have your campus routines and obviously the game-day traditions down to a T while balancing a busy schedule. Junior year feels like that complete sweet spot of college where you feel completely engulfed in the Ole Miss Community.

Balancing Everything

October 12, 2026

It’s crazy how fast the first seven weeks went by; junior year has been super busy for all of us, but it's been one of the most interesting starts to a school year I’ve had at Ole Miss, especially beating LSU at home.

A big part of this semester has been working with the Ole Miss Business Club, spending time at events and meetings, and bringing in incredibly talented business professionals to share their careers in different industries and experiences, even globally with franchising. It’s been really cool to help connect students with people that they usually wouldn’t be able to have the opportunity to hear from.

There’s also a lot of behind-the-scenes work, from scheduling to securing a tent in the Grove for the club on game days. On top of that, I’ve stayed involved with ASB, where we’ve been working to improve the overall student experience. The biggest thing has been getting students Uber vouchers, which they can find in their emails, as a free transportation option. We’ve also worked with the athletics department, where Flex became available to be used as a source of payment at football games. It’s really great to see these ideas from ASB openly available to students.

The last few weeks also involved midterms, which focused on major degree classes and were difficult, but getting through that hurdle is a relief, and being able to hang out with friends during football weekends makes things a lot better. Overall, it has been a solid, good mix of everything, and I can’t wait to see more to come.

The Thick of It

October 29, 2026

October has been the fastest month by far with Halloween already here, with the football weekends of Missouri and seeing Austin Simmons and Cayden Lees return back to Oxford with also having campus activities all around. Although with that disappointing loss to Texas, it's still great to have watched it with friends in Oxford and to spend good time with other students. With Halloween approaching, though, Oxford is turning into the busiest time of the fall, and it is a massively popular annual event. With this upcoming weekend against Auburn, it will be another chance for students and visitors to just enjoy absolutely everything this town has to offer.

This semester has offered a lot of great opportunities especially as a Business Ambassador and being able to meet prospective students and to speak to their families where they’re from all over the country. It has been a very fun experience to be able to represent the University and the School of Business. Those conversations give those families a better idea and chance to grasp an understanding of the academics, campus involvement, and what to expect in the college experience.

While the semester continues, I have an upcoming trip home back to Maryland to see my whole family and my cousins from Georgia are making their way up to spend time during Thanksgiving. I'll also be able to see my hometown friends and catch up from their times at different schools. With classes getting into that main bulk of important material, it's starting to come around on those very important tests; it’s starting to get very stressful. But being able to keep up with those and different campus commitments has kept everyone busy, and being able to have that opportunity of seeing family and friends is something to look forward to.

With the absolute roller coaster of no break for 7 weeks straight, there are plenty of things happening on and off campus.
