    I am a Ph.D. student in the Finance Department at the School of Business, University of Mississippi. Prior to joining Ole Miss, I was at Illinois State University where I earned my MBA degree. I received my B.B.A from North South University, Bangladesh with concentrations in Finance and Accounting, and a minor in Economics.

For individuals contemplating enrollment in the Ph.D. program, this academic environment is particularly conducive to those aspiring to pursue careers in academia and research. A distinctive feature of the program is the immediate opportunity for students to engage in research collaboration with professors from the outset. The welcoming and supportive nature of the faculty fosters a conducive learning environment, especially crucial in a Finance Ph.D. program.

What are your plans after completing the program?

Upon program completion, I intend to persist in the field of academia, driven by a profound passion for both research and teaching.

What are you watching?

I currently enjoy immersing myself in soccer matches and popular sitcoms such as "Friends," "The Big Bang Theory," and "Young Sheldon."

What are you currently reading?

I find great pleasure in reading literary works by the renowned Bengali Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore.

What are your favorite hobbies?

My favorite hobbies include exploring nature through travel and engaging in various outdoor adventures. As a South Asian residing in the USA, I take pleasure in discovering the diverse natural landscapes and cultures of the country.

What are some dream travel destinations?

I aspire to visit Alaska to witness the Northern Lights, explore Key West, Florida, and discover the valleys of Switzerland.
