Why did you choose PPL as your major and what was the appeal of the Lott program?
When I first heard of the Trent Lott Leadership Institute I was immediately sold. I chose to apply to the Lott Institute because of the deep respect and opportunity the program possesses for its students. The connections and knowledge that they have provided to me is forever going to leave a lasting impact on me. The close knit environment of students made being apart of the Lott Institute like being in a family.
The PPL major was everything that I was looking for in a major, it has the uses of political science but gives you the steps and leadership needed in order to create policies the govern the world we live in.

What are your career aspirations?
My future career intentions are to become a teacher, then an administrator, and use my PPL degree to work in education policy back home in Illinois.
Education policy is one of my favorite topics of study, which is why I will start my career in teaching. My goal is to learn the functions and facets of our education system by being apart of it. I plan to teach for quite a few years, move into an administrative position, and then later on find a job writing and deciding educational policy.
