Why did you choose to attend UM?
Growing up in Mississippi, I visited all of the in-state universities at least once. I visited here for a junior day in high school and fell in love with the place and the people. I came up to Oxford a few more times to really get a feel for the campus, and fell even more in love.
When and how did you choose your major(s)/minor(s)?
I chose to do a psychology major this past year. I was always interested in law and becoming a lawyer one day, I just wasn't quite sure how I wanted to do it yet. I met with some amazing advisors and decided that psychology was the way to go.
What would you tell a high school student about your major?
Psychology is such a fun and interesting field. Learning about how the brain and all the components of the body work together to either help or hurt you.
Why is your department a special place?
The Psychology department is full of so many wonderful and devoted professors and overall, it is the best place to be. Peabody is so homey, and I can say I have probably been everywhere in the building.
