My name is Caylee Wardlaw, and I am majoring in elementary education. Since a young age, I have been passionate about working with children, which has only grown stronger throughout my journey at the School of Education.

What inspired you to pursue a degree at the School of Education?

Growing up around kids and seeing the impact that teacher can have on their students made me want to pursue a degree at the School of Education. I aspire to be the teacher who make a difference in at least one child's life- the kind of teacher students remember, who inspires them both in the classroom and in their everyday lives.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

After I graduate, I plan to teach 4th or 5th grade, as I believe these are crucial years for shaping students' academic paths and personal growth. Students start exploring their interests and recognizing their potential, and I want to be there to guide and encourage them. I aim to create a classroom where every student feels valued, inspired, and driven to succeed in both their studies and their personal lives.
