Why did you choose to attend UM?

I loved the campus, especially the Grove in front of Coulter and I loved the people I met there. My older sister was also a chemistry major so I had been coming to UM since I was young.

What would you tell a high school student about your major?

Chemistry isn't as hard as everyone says. Don't get me wrong it is very challenging, but I think the best mindset is to relax and put in the work and most of the time I believe you'll get the grade you want. Also, lab is very hit or miss make sure you get a good partner.

What are your 3 favorite things about your major/department at UM? (keep these short and brief).

1.The people

2. Coulter 201

3. The outreach programs to teach young kids about chemistry

Can you tell me about a professor or a class you've taken that has had the most impact on you?

Definitely Dr. Rowland's Organic I- first time I ever had tried really hard and not gotten the grade I wanted, I ended with an A but without her working with me I definitely would not have.

What do you hope to do after you graduate?

I will be attending the University of Mississippi Medical Center- I have been accepted through the PROMISE program.

Apart from school, how do you spend your time in Oxford?

I really like going to see movies, running on the trails by south campus, and eating Rice and Spice.

What are some dream travel destinations?

China, France, and Amsterdam
