Why did you choose PPL as your major and what was the appeal of the Lott program?
I chose PPL as my major to further understand modern policymaking and how effective leadership can create meaningful change in today's ever-changing climate. The Lott Leadership Institute stood out to me because of its faculty network and crated curriculum that forge future leaders in society. Learning from accomplished professors with real-world experience and being surrounded by driven, proactive students led me to apply. The Lott Institute's competitive yet caring culture, rich with opportunity, has exceeded all of my expectations, and I am grateful to be a part of it.

I aspire to further my education after graduation by attending law school and earning my Juris Doctor. I plan to become a practicing attorney, using education as a means to advocate for policy and legal issues. I am thankful to the Lott Institute for providing me with a strong foundation, and I look forward to building on it in the future.

Is there a professor that has been particularly helpful to you?
Dr. Holland, my PPL 101 professor, had a profound impact on my first year in the Lott Institute. His engaging style and passion for leadership helped shape my understanding of what it means to effectively lead and navigate modern policymaking. I am grateful to have had the opportunity to learn from his teaching and the Lott Institute's cast of exemplary faculty.

What is a particularly meaningful way you have engaged in a community either on or off campus?
A meaningful community engagement for me came during the spring of my freshman year. I had the opportunity to serve on the logistics committee for the Sigma Nu Charity Bowl, an event that raised over $300,000 for a paraplegic recipient and other worthy organizations on and around campus. It was a privilege to help organize the event, the football game and contribute to raising funds for such a cause.
