Why did you choose to attend UM?
I chose to attend the University of Mississippi because of its friendly environment and its prestigious academic status. The first time I ever stepped foot on campus it felt like home away from home.
What can you tell a high school student about your FASTrack experience?
FASTrack is a community that supports you, guides you, and encourages you as a first year student here at Ole Miss. FASTrack is like your family. They are here to help & encourage you in every way possible to ensure your success here at the University! No matter what issue I had FASTrack provided multiple solutions to help me solve my problem. Sometimes it might not have been a problem but I just needed someone to talk to, the FASTrack community always provided a listening ear. Let’s not forget the amount of close friends I have made because of FASTrack! I have made many lifelong friends since being in the FASTrack Program and I am forever grateful!
What is one thing you wish you knew as an incoming freshman that you'd tell your past self?
I would tell my past self to calm down, take a breather, and know that everything is going to be okay.
