Hello! I am Faith Franklin. I am a second year student at the University of Mississippi. I am thankful to be in the Transfer to Teach program. I have loved learning and Education since I was young, and I am happy to give back to my lovely state.

What does this scholarship award mean to you?

This scholarship means a better career as a future teacher. I am thankful for this opportunity to start off my career debt free, and I am also guaranteed a job. Furthermore, as a teacher in Mississippi, I can be the change I wish to see.

Why did you choose to attend the University of Mississippi?

The University of Mississippi Stood out to me as one of the best options for me to attend school. I loved the marketing, and being a student here feels like I am at home. I have great professors and a wide range of academic resources at my disposal.

Tell us about a favorite memory, professor, and/or academic course during your time at the School of Education:

There are so many great professors at the school of education. I remember having hands on experience volunteering at the UM Museum with Dr. Keskin. Dr. Tisler took the class to the resource center, and I was astonishing at the resources there for students. Finally, Mr. Thurston's class was taught in a relaxing yet personal way through documentaries of people with disabilities.
