Why did you choose to attend UM?

I chose to attend the University of Mississippi because of all of the opportunities that I knew I would be offered. I know many people from my hometown who came to Ole Miss, and they are extremely successful today.

When and why did you choose your major/minor?

I chose my major during my senior year of high school. I chose it because at the time I wanted to become a physical therapist. I am now on the pre medicine track while also still pursuing my exercise science degree.

What are your career goals?

I plan on attending med school to pursue my dream of becoming a physician.

Is there a professor who has been particularly helpful to you?

Dr. Paul Loprinzi

What has been a particularly meaningful way you have engaged in a community? (Either on or off campus?

One of the most recent ways I have engaged in a community was this summer when I volunteered to be a MOST mentor. This outreach summer program gave me the opportunity to express my love for the university while also mentoring other minority students about student life and the opportunities that this school has to offer.

What do you like to do outside of school (hobbies/interests)?

I enjoy working out, cooking, and thrift shopping.

What are you binge watching/reading/listening to?

Grey’s Anatomy

What is your favorite place to eat in Oxford?

South Depot

What are some dream travel destinations (and why?)

One of my dream travel destinations would have to be Fiji because of all of the beautiful beaches and clear water.

What’s your favorite place to study on or off campus and why?

My favorite place to study is in the library on campus because it is extremely convenient, spacious, and of course...Starbucks.

Why is your department a special place?

My department is a special place because of the faculty that we have. They are some of the most genuine people I have ever come in contact with. They are always available, helpful, and eager to help get you to where you want to go.

What are your 3 favorite things about your major/department at UM?

  1. My major is extremely versatile.

  2. My department treats everyone like family.

  3. There are always great, informational events to attend that my department hosts.
