I am a student majoring in ceramic arts, and I transferred to this school this semester. However, you might have a question: Is this school truly worthy of being called the best for ceramics or fine arts? My answer is 'probably'. It is certainly not the undisputed best. Even the school I used to attend was one of the most famous and historic schools for ceramic art. I spent four years there studying both ceramic engineering and ceramic art. But what I have realized over the past four years is that a school's reputation or fame cannot.

Ceramic art is an inherently honest artistic discipline. It demands an essential dedication of both patience and arduous labor; this is because one's skill grows in direct proportion to the time invested in creating works, and because the craft relies fundamentally on the use of the kiln. And ceramic art is a complex culmination of craft, engineering, and fine art. The broader and deeper the knowledge one acquires, the more effectively one can formulate plans and produce exceptional results. For example, when making glazes, scientific elements are required, such as determining what color chemicals turn out when exposed to high temperatures for a long time through a chemical reaction, or identifying the necessary clay density based on size. If you wish to go beyond mere self-expression and create your own unique ceramic works that are advanced and near-perfect, please remember patience, science, and ceaseless learning.<span data-

Our school's Department of Art and Art History has Mett Long in its emphasis on ceramics. He is a prepared educator who takes my work seriously, even though it is from a different field, and tailors his in-depth advice and questions to me. A funny thing about him is that some have even gone so far as to dub him the "God of Flashing."(its an art term). To this, he simply replies: "Sometimes, people are misguided." That is the kind of person he is: someone who devotes himself fully to his own artistic practice while patiently guiding his students, never instilling in them a sense of empty pretension. I would go so far as to say that he is the greatest source of pride for our ceramics program.

I plan to go to graduate school. Lately, I have become interested in museum studies, so I am looking into whether to go to a studio graduate school or pursue the humanities and arts. No matter what choice I make, I will not stop my art career. My current goal is to work at an auction house or a museum. 

Try many things, but even if you stop and give up on them, do not despair. You are so young, and whatever you learn will accumulate as an asset one or ten years from now and become your knowledge. It is perfectly fine to cry, but please never view a failed endeavor as a useless attempt. So, just try a double major, do a club activity, work as a student, and make good friends as much as you want!
