I chose exercise science as my major because I have a deep interest in human movement, physiology, and health. Studying exercise science allows me to explore these topics in depth, preparing me for a career where I can help individuals optimize their physical well-being through tailored exercise programs and lifestyle interventions.
Why did you decide to pursue this health profession?
I decided to pursue physical therapy because I have always been passionate about helping others regain their mobility and improve their quality of life. Witnessing the transformative impact that physical therapy can have on individuals recovering from injuries or managing chronic conditions inspired me to pursue this career path. I am drawn to the opportunity to work closely with patients, guiding them through their rehabilitation journey and empowering them to reach their full potential. The field of physical therapy also offers continual learning and growth, allowing me to stay updated on the latest techniques and advancements in rehabilitation science.
How has HPAO helped you?
The HPAO has been a crucial resource in my journey towards physical therapy school. They provided personalized guidance, outlining the steps needed to strengthen my application and become a competitive candidate. Additionally, they facilitated opportunities for me to gain hands-on experience through shadowing and securing a position as a PT tech. These experiences not only bolstered my application but also deepened my understanding and passion for the field of physical therapy.
What is your most memorable experience working with HPAO?
My most memorable experience working with HPAO was being selected as an ambassador and speaking on panels for incoming students. It was incredibly rewarding to share my journey, offer advice, and inspire others who were pursuing similar paths in healthcare. Connecting with fellow students and providing support and guidance to incoming students made me feel like I was making a meaningful impact within the community.
What are your career goals?

Additionally, I aim to stay up to date with the latest research and practices in the field, ensuring that I provide the highest level of care to my patients while continuing to grow professionally.
