Hello, my name is Jada Anderson and I am currently a student at the University of Mississippi. I will be majoring in Elementary Education, and I cannot wait to see what the future holds! Hotty Toddy!

Meet Jada

What does this scholarship award mean to you?

This scholarship is a blessing for me. I never truly expected to get it, and I am forever and always grateful for the opportunities this scholarship has in store for me.

Why did you choose to attend the University of Mississippi?

I chose the University of Mississippi because of all of the great programs that they have for teachers. There are so many opportunities for teachers to branch out and just become one with the community. I also heard about the relationship the students share with each other. All of the clubs that the university has are diverse, which is amazing.

Tell us about your community involvements and/or hobbies:

During this summer I participated in the MOST program, which is a recruitment program for upcoming high school seniors. It allows them to understand the true meaning of Hotty Totty and introduces them to the college experience.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

After I graduate, I plan on teaching in the local area as an Elementary School teacher. Eventually, I plan on getting my master's degree in education as well.
