    After completing my undergraduate study in China, I worked in public service and then came to the United States for my doctoral study. I am interested in organizational behavior and human resources management.

What made you choose the University of Mississippi's doctoral program?

Rigorous training and support from the faculty.

Why did you choose your area of focus?

I am interested in the way employees experience and relate to their work and how people interact to make the organization a better place.

Is there a professor(s) who has been a mentor to you?

I am currently working with Drs. Kristin Cullen-Lester, Cynthia Maupin, and Houston Lester. I also worked with Dr. Eugene Paik and Dr. Jisun Kim in my first year.

What has been one of your most memorable moments at UM?

I like to participate in the discussions in the seminars. It exposes you to different perspectives and I have learned a lot from others during the process.

Do you have any advice for people considering the Ph.D. program?

It is challenging but you will benefit a lot from this experience.

What are your goals after completing the program?

Continue to do research and teach.

What are you currently listening to?

Classical Chinese music.

What are your favorite hobbies?

Hiking.

What are some dream travel destinations?

Australia.
