What does this scholarship award mean to you?

I am so excited to be a recipient of this scholarship. It will take off the stress and financial burden of me as a college student paying for school. I am beyond grateful to have the opportunity to be awarded with the Armstrong Scholarship.

Tell us about your community involvements and/or hobbies:

My favorite way to dedicate my time through community service is participating with an organization called "The Shine Foundation" in Tupelo, Ms. They are an organization that hosts sports leagues, events, fundraisers, etc. for children with special needs. I have a passion for special needs so I love to volunteer and the kids always brighten my days.

What do you plan to do after graduation?

After earning my degree, I would love to become a Special Education teacher. I hope to find a job at a school with a warm environment to teach children in and a school that supports their faculty.
