Meet Kayleigh Ann

What does this scholarship award mean to you?

This scholarship award means so much to me and I feel honored to have been awarded it. It will help greatly with my academics financially and it is motivation to keep striving for things bigger than me.

What inspired you to pursue a degree at the School of Education?

Ever since I was young I always wanted to lend a hand in the classroom to children and to whomever my teacher was. I enjoyed being able to help my classmates and felt fulfillment after doing so, growing up has only strengthened my goals to help children in a classroom and I strive to be an advocate and voice for them as well.

Tell us about your community involvements and/or hobbies:

In my hometown I was in a community service club that helped members in our community that needed help financially or their kids needed food, a place to play, or extra help. It was my favorite hobby I had during my time in high school, it was so rewarding seeing children given opportunities through our program that they had yet to be given or couldn't be given at the time.
