Why did you choose to attend UM?

I chose to attend UM because I loved the campus. It is so beautiful here no matter the season. I love the city of Oxford too.

When and how did you choose your major(s)/minor(s)?

I chose to study psychology halfway through my freshman year of college. I was previously an anthropology major, while I liked the classes it ended up not being for me. The same thing happened with my minor, I switched from French to Southern Studies. The courses that I am in now feel true to me, and I enjoy learning about the topics.

What would you tell a high school student about your major?

I would tell them to try it! Even if they may not end up majoring or minoring in it, the classes and their topics are beneficial to everyone.

Can you tell me about a professor or a class you've taken that has had the most impact on you?

I took a history class with Dr. Kathleen McGuire that I absolutely loved. She helped me not only learn the content, but truly have a deep understanding of it. She built a huge timeline that made sense, and everything in history started to click.

What is you go-to meal in Oxford?

I love Ajax Diner on the Square. I always get their mac and cheese.

What is one thing you wish you knew as an incoming freshman that you'd tell your past self?

Take everything with a grain of salt, but enjoy the experience. What is meant for you will find you and stick around!
