Laya is part of the Engineering Student Body Council, CME Ambassadors, CME Events Committee, Engineering Ambassadors, and the Society for Women Engineers. 

I chose Ole Miss because I felt like the community was something that would further me as both an engineer and a person.

If Laya could describe life as an Ole Miss student in one word, it would be "collaborative".

The Center for Manufacturing Excellence helped Laya meet so many people and learn in a way that fosters continuous improvement in all students.
