Why did you choose to attend UM?
Ole Miss always felt like home to me, despite it being 9 hours away. I loved the small-school feel while still being an SEC school, and the southern hospitality is unmatched.
What can you tell a high school student about your FASTrack experience?
FASTrack aided me in making some of my first college friends, and its EDHE section in particular set me up for academic success. You can never go wrong with a smaller classroom setting and intimate relationships to start off college.
What is one thing you wish you knew as an incoming freshman that you'd tell your past self?
I wish I could tell my freshman self to put myself out there more and to never be scared of talking to new people. I have now learned this and seen how this skill is so helpful, but I think if I would have practiced it more at the start of freshman year, I would have felt much more comfortable because eventually you will realize that everyone is making new friends, and everyone is comforted by meeting new people who are eager to get to know you!
