Why should someone visit Ole Miss?
When and why did you choose your major(s)/minors?
When I first started my college search, I knew I wanted my future career to be in occupational therapy; however, I wasn’t sure what major/minor to choose to be set up for a successful track to get into a graduate program for occupational therapy. When I first visited campus, I met with Ole Miss’s Health Professions Advising Office and they immediately answered all of my questions and helped direct me to the right path for what I want to do with my future. Ever since, they have done nothing but support me in all my academic and professional endeavors! HPAO is one of the many things that helped me confidently make my decision to attend Ole Miss and they've been a big reason why I've never looked back!
What is a unique talent you have?
I can’t think of any specific unique talents that I have, but being an Ole Miss Ambassador sure has given me a lot of “fun facts” that I like to give out to people from time to time!
What is your favorite thing to do over the weekends in Oxford?
My favorite thing to do in Oxford on the weekends looks different just about every weekend! If there are sporting events happening, you can usually find me there. Baseball, Football, Volleyball, etc. you name it, and I’ll be there cheering on the Rebs. On weekends where campus is a little more quiet, I love to explore the city. Oxford is the best college town and there is so much to learn from the community, nature, landmarks, etc. Sitting on the balcony at Square Books, taking a walk at Lamar Park, and fostering a dog for the day at the Oxford Animal Resource Center are some of my favorites!
What is your favorite restaurant in Oxford?
My favorite restaurant in Oxford has to be Volta! Although I’m not sure that I’ve ever had a meal from anywhere in Oxford that I didn’t enjoy. You definitely won’t go hungry here!
What has been your most memorable experience while at Ole Miss?
My time at Ole Miss has been filled with so many memorable experiences. This is a topic that I could spend days talking about; however, one experience that particularly sticks out to me was when I traveled to Omaha, Nebraska to watch the Rebs play in and WIN the national championship in baseball. So many Ole Miss fans traveled to Omaha to cheer on the Rebs that it felt like any other home game at Swayze Field. Once the last strike was thrown, I looked around at all the Ole Miss fans around me and I don’t think there was a dry eye in my section. We were all bursting with excitement and pride in that moment, and I still feel those same emotions to this day!
