    From Guelph, Canada I always dreamed of being a professional Track Athlete. I started my collegiate career at Arizona State University where I ran track and field and cross country. Following this I transferred to Ole Miss where I finished my athletic career and attained my undergraduate degree and MBA.

Area of Study

Finance, interests as of now pertain to market microstructure and behavioral finance.

What made you choose the University of Mississippi's doctoral program?

I chose the University of Mississippi’s doctoral program due to the strong faculty particularly Dr. Robert Van Ness and Dr. Bonnie Van Ness as they both taught me during my undergraduate and graduate schooling.

How or why did you choose your area of focus?

I chose my area of focus because I am interested in how financial markets and their underlying players operate, in particular how these participants navigate the changing financial landscape and compete with one another.

Is there a professor who has been a mentor to you?

Dr. Robert Van Ness has most definitely been a mentor for me.

Do you have memorable moment at UM?

My most memorable moment at UM was winning the SEC championships with the XC team in 2019.

What advice do you have for people considering the Ph.D. program?

It’s worth it. My advice would be before you start to begin to learn how to code for data management if you do not know how to already.

What are your plans after completing the program?

Be a professor.

What is genre of music are you currently listening to?

Rap.

What are your favorite hobbies?

Going to the gym or running.

What are some dream travel destinations?

Italy, Japan, Maldives.

Frolic on the Square.
