Meet Ryley Turner
What is your major and why did you choose it?
I decided I wanted to go into PT before I chose my major, and so I felt Exercise Science would set me up for the most success when applying for grad school.
Why did you decide to pursue this health profession?
Growing up an athlete, I have been in and out of PT, and fell in love with it the more I had to go! Also, the human body is such an interesting science, there is always more to learn!
How has HPAO helped you?
HPAO goes above and beyond to help schedule my classes, answer questions about shadowing/internships, and is always helping me prepare for a future beyond graduation.
What is your most memorable experience working with HPAO?
My most memorable memory actually comes from when I was a senior in high school. I attended a visit day and went to an HPAO info session led by Meredith, and from that meeting, I knew that HPAO would be my biggest support system during my time at Ole Miss. I now know that that is more true than I could have ever imagined!
What are your career goals?
After grad school, I hope to get a pediatric specialty and work in a children’s hospital.
What is your favorite meal in Oxford?
A bowl from South depot!
What are you the happiest doing when you are not studying?
Going out to eat, or reading a good book.
Where is your favorite study spot?
On campus, Turner. Off campus, Heartbreak Coffee
