Events and Programming

From It's On Us Week, to Domestic Violence Awareness Month, to Teen Dating Violence Prevention and Awareness Month, to campaigns like Love Is... and Take Back the Night, we engage our campus community with initiatives designed to raise awareness of relationship violence and support survivors.

Events and Programming

Throughout the school year, we raise awareness of relationship violence, provide education and training, and support survivors. Learn more about our events and programming below.

The organization It's On Us offers educational tools to support a culture of prevention on campuses across the country. It's On Us Week, the last week of October, supports their efforts through programming and donation drives.

Bins at Longstreet Hall and the second floor of the Student Union accept donations for care kits: journals, coloring books, art supplies, candles, fuzzy socks fidget toys and hand sanitizer are commonly needed items. CASE distributes these kits to survivors of sexual assault.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. RASA and CASE offer educational programming and participate in Purple Thursday. On Thursday, October 16, 2025, we wear purple to raise awareness and support survivors.

In addition to Black History Month, February is Teen Dating Violence and Prevention Awareness Month. In an effort to promote healthy relationships, CASE and its partners ask students, faculty and staff to share what love means to them.

Our Love Is... campaign allows participants to describe on a sticky note or in a social media post what love is to them. Join us outside the Union from 11 am to 1 pm February 10-14, 2025!

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month, and for more than 60 years, Take Back the Night has rallied people to take action and break the silence and stigma. CASE, RASA and the Sarah Isom Center for Women and Gender Studies host the annual event each April, with campus partners like the University Police Department and University Counseling Center tabling at the event.
