Program Funds

The Ole Miss Women’s Council offers programming to students on many topics like mentorship, leadership and philanthropy, as well as scholarships and mentoring. The Council is seeking support to help cover the costs of its programming. The programs open new worlds for Ole Miss students through monthly leadership dinners, masterclass seminars, scholar trips, and personal growth opportunities specifically designed for our students.

The Ole Miss Women’s Council is moving into the Walton Young House, an on-campus historic home. The Victorian home at the corner of University Avenue and Fifth Street became part of the University Museum in 1997. The property, where playwright and novelist Stark Young once lived, needs some renovations to allow for space for the OMWC and its scholars.

The Robert C. Khayat Lecture Series

The OMWC launched the Robert C. Khayat Lecture Series in 2021, named for the UM chancellor emeritus. It brings renowned speakers for the entire community to hear inspirational ideas, fresh perspectives, personal experiences, and insights. Bringing these leaders, entrepreneurs, and philanthropists to engage with students helps further the goal of creating caring and ethical leaders of tomorrow.
