Give to the School of Pharmacy

The School of Pharmacy hopes to increase the number of professorships, bringing brilliant academics to campus to fill a variety of important roles in and out of classrooms. They bring high value to the university through mentoring hundreds of students throughout the course of an academic year. These coveted professionals also conduct research, mentor students, and serve on important university committees. They drive conversations about curriculum development and take on other roles that benefits the entire university. 

Crucial financial support for students and researchers through fellowships helps strengthen Ole Miss. Fellowships allow students and professionals to focus on in-depth research, get experience in their field, build professional networks, and create cross-disciplinary collaborations. Financial assistance is an important part of pharmacy fellowships, and the UM Office Development is always seeking to fund these opportunities.  

Endowments are permanent, which can generate spendable funds each year. They are an excellent way to link one’s name to the school and its mission in perpetuity.  These funds can support students, financial aid, scholarships, fellowships, fund faculty positions and tenure, support research and innovation. They can also fund upgrades to buildings, create new spaces, and help the university with its public service mission.

Donors can make significant contributions through planned gifts in their lifetimes that can provide income to loved ones and result in philanthropic gifts and tax benefits. Donors can also name the school as a beneficiary in their wills and appreciated assets. They can also enjoy tax benefits from these bequests, but also through charitable gift annuities, charitable remainder trusts, IRA rollovers and other methods.
