Looking for a public record?
Any person wishing to request access to public records of the University of Mississippi should complete the Public Records Request Form and send the completed form by U.S. Mail or email to the following:

The request must be made in writing and include the following information:
- Name of requester;
- Address of requester;
- Other contact information, including telephone number and email address;
- Identification of the public records adequate for the public records officer or designee to locate the records; and
- The date and time of the request.
The University may collect fees reasonably calculated to reimburse it for the actual cost of searching, reviewing, duplicating, and mailing copies of the public records. Payment will be received by check or money order only.
Records will be provided in electronic form unless the requester specifically requests inspection in person. Records are available for inspection during normal University business hours. Please direct any digital accessibility concerns to the Office of General Counsel.
The University will produce or deny a request no later than seven (7) working days from the date of the receipt of the request. If the University is unable to produce the public records by the seventh working day, the requester will be notified and pursuant to state law, the University will have up to 14 working days to respond absent mutual agreement of the parties for additional time beyond the 14 days.
