Celebrating your graduate’s achievements at Ole Miss is a momentous occasion, and we’re here to make your experience smooth and memorable. Whether you’re familiar with the Ole Miss campus or visiting for the first time, our visitor guide has all you need for a seamless day. From directions and parking to accessible seating, we're here to help ensure your focus is on the celebration.

For families traveling to Oxford, you'll find helpful resources, including nearby lodging, dining options, transportation, ADA accommodations, and more. Plan your visit confidently, knowing that every part of the day is covered, so you can share in the pride and joy of your Ole Miss graduate’s milestone achievement.

Accessibility

* If you are a graduate and have accessibility questions about your ceremony, please reach out to your Dean’s office.

  • ADA parking for all SJB Pavilion ceremonies is recommended in the SJB Pavilion garage located off of Hill Drive
  • Complimentary shuttles will be available in all lots surrounding the SJB Pavilion. A shuttle tent will be located in front of the SJB Pavilion where guests can wait for the shuttles that will return them to their vehicles after ceremonies conclude.
  • ADA parking for ceremonies at the Gertrude C. Ford Center for the Performing Arts is available in ADA parking spots in the Ford Center lot.

  • ASL interpreters will interpret every ceremony.
  • Each ceremony will have closed captioning and guests will be able to follow along on their smart phones by accessing the livestreams here.

Dining on Campus

Campus dining hours for the week of May 4–10.

  • Rebel Market will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 8:00pm. 
  • The Dish will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm and 5:00 pm to 9:00pm. On Friday, the Dish will be open from 7:00 am to 2:00 pm. 
  • The Grill at 1810 will be open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 1:30 pm. 

All residential dining will be closed on Saturday and Sunday (5/9-5/10)

  • Chick-fil-a will be open Monday through Friday from 7:00am to 8:00 pm. On Saturday, Chick-fil-a will be open from 7:00 am to 3:00pm. 
  • Panda Express will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 8:00 pm. On Saturday, Panda Express will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. 
  • Blendz Bowls will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 6:00 pm. On Saturday, Blendz Bowls will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00pm. 
  • Qdoba will be open Monday through Friday from 10:00am to 8:00 pm. On Saturday, Qdoba will be open from 10:00 am to 3:00pm. 

All restaurants will be closed on Sunday, 5/10. 

  • Starbucks in the JD Williams Library will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 8:00 pm. On Friday, Starbucks will be open from 7:30 am to 2:00pm. 
  • Starbucks in Coulter Hall will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 3:00 pm. Starbucks will be closed Friday through Sunday. 
  • Einstein's will be open Monday through Thursday from 7:30am to 1:30 pm.Einstein's will be closed Friday through Sunday. 
  • Jimmy John's will be open Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 12:00 am. On Friday, Jimmy John's will be open from 10:00 am to 5:00pm. 
  • EverBowl will be open Monday through Thursday from 8:00am to 9:00 pm. EverBowl will be closed Friday through Sunday. 
  • Sweet Magnolia will be open Monday through Thursday from 11:00am to 6:00 pm. Sweet Magnolia will be closed Friday through Sunday. 
  • Comet Fish will be open Monday through Thursday from 11:00am to 2:00 pm. Comet Fish will be closed Friday through Sunday. 
  • Steak in Shake will be open Monday and Tuesday from 10:30am to 3:00 pm. Steak in Shake will be closed Wednesday through Sunday. 
  • Raising Canes will be open Monday and Tuesday from 10:30am to 3:00 pm. Raising Canes will be closed Wednesday through Sunday.

  • The following POD locations are open 24 hours: Law School, Residential College South, and Guyton. 
  • The POD located in Crosby Hall will be open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 am to 12:00 am. On Friday, the POD will be open from 9:00 am to 5:00pm. 
  • The POD located in the Union will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
  • The following POD locations will be closed: Lamar Hall and Campus REC. 

  • The Tea will be open Monday through Wednesday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. On Thursday and Friday, the Tea will be open from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm. 
  • Hotbox Hibachi will be open Monday through Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.
  • Pick Thai will be open Monday through Thursday from 10:00am to 4:00 pm. On Friday, Pick Thai will be open from 10:00 am to 1:30pm. 
  • G&G Fry will be open Monday through Wednesday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Two main airports service the University of Mississippi: the Memphis International Airport (commercial flights) and the University-Oxford Airport (private and chartered flights only).

Oxford-University Transit (OUT) services the city of Oxford, Mississippi, and the University of Mississippi. Students and residents can get where they need to go through our comprehensive bus service.

Prohibited Items

The following items are prohibited during all Commencement exercises:

  • Alcohol
  • Weapons
  • Poles and sticks
  • Hand-held signs, banners, and flags
  • Artificial noisemakers (air horns, cowbells, whistles, etc.)
  • Full face coverings
  • Non-service animals

The University of Mississippi reserves the right to prohibit any item deemed dangerous or inhibiting the overall guest experience.
