Dakota Kolb

  • Quick Intro

    Dakota Kolb is currently a Senior Engineering Geologist and Geology Subject Matter Expert (SME) with the United States Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Vicksburg District.

Preceding his time with USACE, he worked as an exploration and production geologist driving growth and development of underground/surface gold deposits on the Carlin Trend in northeastern Nevada.  He is an experienced geoscientist with a demonstrated history in the mining and metals, exploration, and civil works industries with strong technical focus in structural geology, engineering geology, and 3D-geologic modeling.  He has contributed significantly to his field providing planning and oversight of high-risk drilling operations, demonstrating strong leadership skills, driving economic growth, and providing expertise on complex geotechnical issues around our nation’s critical infrastructure.

 

Mr. Kolb holds a B.S in Geology and a M.S. in Geology from the University of Mississippi and is a licensed professional geologist (PG) in the state of Alabama.
