His research includes watershed systems modeling, channel morphology, and remote sensing. He also directs the Geospatial Research Center and is a faculty member at the Center for Computational Science. Previously, he worked at the National Sedimentation Laboratory, specializing in erosional dynamics. He earned his Ph.D. from the University of Mississippi in 2008.
