Financial Aid Timeline
Learn about all of the important dates and deadlines for financial aid.
Applications and Awarding Timeline
Disbursement of aid for the term begins approximately five days before the first day of classes. Aid that is ready for release will be posted to the student’s bursar account and Email notifications will be sent to the student.
| August 1st, 2025 | Admissions Application available for the 2026-2027 academic year. |
| October 1st | The Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid Application is available for the 2026-2027 year to apply for state aid programs such as MTAG, MESG, and HELP Grant. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opens for all students for the 2026-2027 academic year. |
| Early November | The Freshman Scholarship Application is available for the 2026-2027 academic year. |
| November | Academic Merit and other non-competitive entering freshmen and community college transfer scholarships are awarded and letters mailed to students for the 2025-2026 academic year. This awarding process continues through July. |
| December 1st, 2025 | Community College Transfer Scholarship Application available online for the 2026-2027 academic year. |
| January 10th, 2026 | Deadline for the Freshman Scholarship Application. Raise Me! Scholarship Deadline for 2026-2027 |
| February 1st | Health Professions Student Loan (HPSL) Application available for the 2024-2025 year (Only Pharmacy students are eligible for this loan) |
| March | The Competitive Scholarships awarding process will begin. Awarding and re-awarding of scholarships will continue through August as additional funds become available. New freshmen will be mailed a paper financial aid award letter that includes Federal, State, and Institutional Awards for the 2026-2027 year in late March. |
| March 1st | Priority date to submit the FAFSA to be considered for the Ole Miss Opportunity Scholarship. OSHER RE-Entry Scholarship Application available online. Deadline to submit the Oxford Campus Community College Transfer Scholarship Application. |
| March 31st | Deadline to apply for the Mississippi HELP State Grant. (We strongly encourage applying for MTAG and MESG by this date as well – to be ahead of schedule! It’s the same application.) |
| April 1st | Deadline to submit the Regional Campus Community College Transfer Scholarship Application. |
| May 1st | Priority date for the HPSL Application |
| June 1st | Priority Date for the OSHER RE-Entry Scholarship Application. |
| June 30th | Final date to complete the FAFSA for the 2024-2025 year. Deadline to submit the Regional Campus Scholarship Application. |
| July 1st | Deadline to apply for the OSHER RE-Entry Scholarship Application. |
