Financial Aid Appeals
If you have been placed on financial aid suspension and you have extenuating circumstances that prevented you from making satisfactory academic progress, you may submit an appeal to request to have your financial aid reinstated.
Types of Financial Aid Appeals
Students may submit an appeal online through your myolemiss account.
- Students who are submitting an appeal due to exceeding the threshold for overall attempted hours must submit an Academic Plan Confirmation Form that provides an expected graduation date and an academic enrollment plan detailing the remaining coursework that is required for the desired degree.
The deadline to submit the online appeal for the Spring 2026 semester is Friday, March 6, 2026.
Students whose online appeal is denied may request an In-Person Appeal. Students are only allowed one in-person appeal during their time at the University of Mississippi.
The deadline to submit the in-person appeal form is Friday, March 13, 2026.
Scholarships will be revoked for students who do not meet the terms and conditions of their scholarship. This is typically checked at the end of each spring semester. If you have had your scholarship revoked and you have extenuating circumstances that prevented you from meeting the terms and conditions of your scholarship, you may submit an appeal to request to have your scholarship reinstated. Students may submit an appeal online through your myolemiss accont.
