Applications and Awarding Timeline
| August 1st, 2024 | Admissions Application available for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Regional Campus Scholarship Application available online for the 2025-2026 academic year. |
| September 1st | The Special Programs & Scholarship Application is available for the 2025-2026 academic year. |
| October 1st | The Mississippi Office of Student Financial Aid Application is available for the 2025-2026 year to apply for state aid programs such as MTAG, MESG, and HELP Grant.
Starting on October 1, the Department of Education will release the 2025-26 FAFSA form for testing with a limited set of students and institutions. The Department will make the application available to all students on or before December 1. |
| November | Academic Merit and other non-competitive entering freshmen and community college transfer scholarships are awarded and letters mailed to students for the 2025-2026 academic year. This awarding process continues through July. |
| December 1st, 2024 | The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) opened for all students for the 2025-2026 academic year.
Community College Transfer Scholarship Application available online for the 2025-2026 academic year. |
| January 10th, 2025 | Deadline for the Special Programs & Scholarship Application.
Raise Me! Scholarship Deadline for 2025-2026 |
| March | Health Professions Student Loan (HPSL) Application available for the 2024-2025 year (Only Pharmacy students are eligible for this loan)
The Competitive Scholarships awarding process will begin. Awarding and re-awarding of scholarships will continue through August as additional funds become available. New freshmen will be mailed a paper financial aid award letter that includes Federal, State, and Institutional Awards for the 2025-2026 year in late March |
| March 1st | Priority date to submit the FAFSA to be considered for the Ole Miss Opportunity Scholarship.
OSHER RE-Entry Scholarship Application available online. Deadline to submit the Oxford Campus Community College Transfer Scholarship Application. |
| March 31st | Deadline to apply for the Mississippi HELP State Grant. (We strongly encourage applying for MTAG and MESG by this date as well – to be ahead of schedule! It’s the same application.) |
| April 1st | Deadline to submit the Regional Campus Community College Transfer Scholarship Application.
