Alpha Epsilon Delta Honor Society
The Mississippi Beta Chapter of ALPHA EPSILON DELTA, a national honorary society for pre-health students, was chartered at the University of Mississippi in 1938. The goals of the organization are to encourage and recognize scholastic excellence and leadership among students, to provide activities which support their career goals, and to serve the health care needs of the campus community.

Join the AMWA Undergraduate Student Division to work alongside other students, physicians, scientists, and leaders in medicine to advocate for the needs and rights of women in healthcare and female patients. Membership benefits include scholarship opportunities, mentoring by medical students and physicians, resources for learning more about medical school and life in the healthcare profession, and leadership opportunities. Global Brigades
Global Brigades is the largest student-led movement for global health and sustainable development. Students travel to remote, rural, and under resourced communities in Honduras, Panama, Nicaragua and Ghana where they work alongside health professionals, local communities, and staff to run a mobile medical clinic and build sustainable health projects. We send medical mission trips over the Winter and Spring break whereby students gain shadowing hours, experience in a medical setting, and the opportunity to positively influence global health..

Jackson Free Clinic Health Ambassadors
The Jackson Free Clinic Health Ambassadors program was founded to extend the mission statement of the Jackson Free Clinic to the Ole Miss Campus and Oxford community. The Jackson Free Clinic, located in Jackson, Mississippi, is run by medical students at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as well as volunteer physicians from their local community. It offers non-emergency care, including evaluation, testing, prescription drugs and education, to individuals who cannot pay.

Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students (MAPS)
MAPS (Minority Association of Pre-Medical Students) is a nationally recognized organization under the larger organization SNMA (Student National Medical Association) open to all undergraduates of pre-medical related students including but not limited to pre-medical, pre-pharmacy, nursing, PT/OT, exercise science, optometry, neurology, etc. This organization is an avenue of connecting pre-medical related minorities on campus while providing various opportunities that will aid in acceptance into a professional health school. By joining this organization, students will have opportunities such as shadowing, research, scholarships, and networking with local professionals and academic deans.

Ole Miss Pre-Dental Society (ASDA)
The Ole Miss Pre-Dental Society (American Student Dental Association) is a student organization for those students who have interest in pursuing a career in the dental field. By joining this organization students will have the opportunity to meet other pre-dental students, gain insights on applying to dental school, acquire information about the field of dentistry, and participate in community service projects geared toward oral health.

Ole Miss Pre-Physician Assistant Society
The Ole Miss Pre-PA Society is a student organization designed to provide information and opportunities for students who have demonstrated interest in the Physician Assistant (PA), morphing slowly to Physician Associate (PA) field. The Ole Miss Pre-PA Society aims to support and prepare students by providing opportunities to connect with other pre-PA students and current PA students, along with preparing students by providing education on PA school applications, schools, and the career in general.

Ole Miss Pre-Veterinary Society
The Ole Miss Pre-Vet Club provides academic and social support to those who are pursuing a career path in the veterinary field through monthly meetings, volunteer events and service opportunities. Our members support, uplift and encourage one another during their time at Ole Miss. We meet on the first Wednesday of each month at 6:00 pm in the Duff Center.

Ole Miss Smile Makers
Ole Miss Smile Makers is a club on the campus of the University of Mississippi that raises money for the world’s largest cleft-focused organization, Smile Train. Our goal this year is to raise enough money to fully fund at least one surgery, but are always shooting for more. We achieve this goal by our dues we pay, philanthropic, and other events we host. We also host other events to connect with potential and past patients such as writing personal cards or participating in dental drives.

Pre-SOMA is an organization dedicated to students who are interested in pursuing and learning about the field of osteopathic medicine. The purpose of Pre-SOMA at the University of Mississippi is to promote the Osteopathic Medical Profession both on-campus and in the Oxford community and to help undergraduate students discover the benefits of a career in Osteopathic Medicine through meetings, educational speakers, community service, and career and educational connections.

The University of Mississippi Pre-Nursing Society is a student-organized association designed to help pre-nursing students on their journey to nursing school. Meetings are designed to educate on steps to Nursing school, including application prep, how to find research opportunities, etc. or invite nurses and nurse practitioners from around the area to teach about their specialty or path to being a nurse.

Women in Dentistry: Work. Life. Balance is dedicated to bringing together women in the dental field to network, share, and learn from each other’s unique perspectives. Through regular events and initiatives, we strive to mentor and empower one another by sharing experiences, knowledge and expertise limited not only to the clinical aspect of dentistry, but also to the business management aspect while relating this to balance with a successful social and family life.
