Andrew Brock is a sophomore at the University of Mississippi, pursuing a bachelor's degree in Public Policy Leadership with a minor in General Business. Born and raised in Greenwood, Mississippi, Andrew is passionate about addressing population decline in the Mississippi Delta through improvements in education, healthcare, and economic development. To gain deeper insights into the challenges faced by Delta communities, he conducted a year-long study titled The Greenwood Betterment Survey: Mapping Greenwood’s Path to Success. Andrew's dedication to service is evident through his leadership roles as an Eagle Scout, President of his high school’s Key Club and National Honor Society, and founder of the Greenwood Mayor’s Youth Council. His mission has been to empower students to make a difference in their communities through volunteer opportunities. In addition to being a CEED Innovation Scholar with the Grisham-McLean Institute, Andrew is a member of the Sally McDonnell Barksdale Honors College and the Trent Lott Leadership Institute at Ole Miss. He was part of the 2023-2024 Chancellor's Leadership Class and currently serves on the philanthropy committee of his fraternity, Kappa Alpha Order. In his free time, Andrew enjoys fishing and exercising. He looks forward to learning from community partners, CEED mentors, and fellow Innovation Scholars to continue making a positive impact.
